Pool Construction FAQ

From concept to completion Aqua Blue Pools of Atlanta firmly believes communication with our clients is critical from start to finish to ensure a successful outcome. We walk our clients through homeowners association approval and permitting all the way to start-up and our instructional meeting. Below is a map of how we achieve this.

1. How long does the construction process last?

   This is an age old question in the pool building industry. The avaerge project will take 45-60 days weather permitting. Rain does effect everything we do in an outdoor construction environment. Rule of thumb is one day of rain costs us 3 days work.

2. When do we start the pool first the time?

   When Aqua Blue Pools starts up the pool is also when we schedule your instructional meeting plan on a couple hours depending on the complexity of the project.

3. What is the payment process?

   Payments are broken up through the construction process. The payment schedule Aqua Blue Pools traditionally follows is:

   • 20% deposit
   • 25% at excavation
   • 25% at shot-crete
   • 15% at tile and coping
   • 10% at decking
   • 5% at interior finish

4. How soon can we start swimming?

   At startup Aqua Blue Pools will balance the pool chemicals as well. Please wait 12-24 hours to swim depending on chemicals needed.
